Fishing Report: Tsuniah Lake offers an incredible fishing experience. Fast paced action for wild rainbows in the 1 to 2 lb range. Flies, spinning and trolling gear all work well. Fishing stays good from June through October. Beware of strong winds.
Be sure to visit Fishbc.com for angling information!

Viewscape: Spectacular. Tsuniah is located at the base of two opposing 8,000 ft. mountains. The surrounding countryside is mostly pine/spruce forest, however, some poplars are found immediately surrounding the lake.

Shoreline: Mostly gravel with alder, grass and willows.

Nearby Lakes

Choelquoit Lake - Choelquoit Lake is found on the Chilko Lake Road just before arriving at Chilko or Tsuniah Lakes. Choelquoit is reported to have some very large wild stock rainbow. Try trolling with hot shots, wedding bands, lures, etc. Angler pressure is low. There is a BCFS day use site with picnic tables and outhouses. Chances are you will see windsurfers using part of this lake.

Note: Always check your current BC Fishing regulations before you start fishing a new lake.
