Fishing Report: Considered a quality lake, Badger was one of the practice lakes for the 1993 World Fly Fishing Championship. The lake produces excellent hatches of chironomids in the early spring followed by a good sedge hatch beginning in mid-June. Badger can, and has in the past, produced large Rainbows in the 10 lb. class, however trout up to 3-1/2 lbs. are the norm these days.
Be sure to visit Fishbc.com for angling information!

Nearby Lakes

Spooney Lake - Spooney Lake is connected to the west side of Badger by a channel. It is about 7 ha. (17.3 ac.) in size and like Badger has good insect hatches in the early part of the fishing season. Rainbows normally go to the 3-1/2 lbs. however, this lake, like Badger is capable of producing much larger fish.

Note: Always check your current BC Fishing regulations before you start fishing a new lake.
